Crèche.

Crèche Aims

GROW crèche facilities are provided to offer high quality crèche provision within our communities.  The childcare co-ordinator oversees the crèche workers and ensures that all children regardless of race, gender, class, culture and disability are welcomed in our crèches.

Highlights of the year include:

  1. The development of five crèche resource packs that reflect cultural celebrations.  Our crèche workers use them to plan stimulating activities and displays for the children.
  2. GROW is now supplying crèche workers to other organisations.
  3. The recruitment of 3 new highly qualified crèche workers.

In 2006 – 2007 the crèche hopes to include:

  1. The development of disability resource packs to be used within crèche
  2. Updating the crèche workers information pack
  3. Further work with other organisations to provide crèche workers.
  4. Crèche staff training that ensures qualifications i.e. First aid, Child Protection etc are kept up to date.

During the year GROW have employed 15 crèche workers, of which 9 are active, and 1 crèche volunteer.

In total, GROW has provided 603 child care places of which 63 were for new children.
